Folks, it is official – I can go on this trip without quitting my great job at Boeing!

This afternoon I completed the last peer-review walkthroughs that will be required before formal peer review of 13 detailed test information sheet test plans (DTIS-TPL’s).

Phew – I am beat and a little ILL (especially after pulling 2 all-nighters, 40 regular hours, and 14.4 overtime hours including 2 all nighters in 3 days!) but I am done! Phew!

Big thanks to all of the support from my team at AISF (Avionics Integration Support Facility).

Hey Sean — here at work we’re waiting for more info on your trip! I just read all the way down your blog, and realized at the end when I read “Sean and I…”, and saw the Sept ’08 date, that the block went in reverse chronological order. But it was very interesting.

Thank you Paul and Michelle! It has been a lot of work and sweat but we are taking the S/Y Philkade out for another sea trial this morning (Saturday). Let’s hope for a better trip than earlier this week when we lost 12 Vdc power and thus both GPS antennas and most of the hydraulic actuators! The contractors have been hard at work at getting everything working and reliable – keep tuned for more! Currently targeting this Tuesday to sail away if the trial goes well…
